Beautiful Goatskin coat from the late 1930s. This one looks to be in excellent condition. The front buttons need to be changed, the lining and label are original, the belt is attached. I have a collection of Goatskin jackets from this time, I know how fine this leather is. It may fit, I'll see.
Between this and the green woolie Christmas is coming early for you, Terry. Congrats!

Seller immediately rejected my offers of $75, 80, and 85, so three strikes and they're outta my money.

I usually treat my self on by B-day in late Oct. Or at least a good rationale! The short Wools are a strong interest of mine and very rarely appear in any size, perhaps one or two a year. Plus I'm not the only one interested. It is also a unique style in the back and the dated zipper. If it was a bit smaller I would not have paid what I did. It is decent size no matter.

The Goat Windward was posted as beautiful, which it is, I own a similar jacket in a half belt. I believe the leather will be the same. I believe they are Block of California, but just guessing. Well preserved Goatskin from this era is high quality as the other hides of the era.

I only own a few jackets in this length. I have half-belts etc. There is a large array of vintage jackets in this length. I look at them and saw something more interesting about the cut of this jacket. There is a beautiful Knopf goatskin listed now, in a larger style, beautiful leather, but it lacks the style the Winward has.

Your comment obviously made me think. That is how my mind works as a collector. Once they are in hand I will do a post. thanks

Both are great, but considering their rarity that green woolie made me say "woah" when I first saw it posted on eBay. Seller definitely knew what they had. I was hoping it would end up with someone here. Figured either you or maybe @AHP91.

Looking forward your assessment once you have them both in hand.

I saw the Wool fairly early and he had price on it that would make people pause. I believe I have purchased from him before. He has serious inventory and nothing is cheap.

I was confident in my offer and confident it would be taken before some one BIN. Considering the comments when I show one, I doubt it would have lasted overnight. Did not want foolish regret.

By green woolie are you referring to the plaid body solid colored arms that popped up? That was a very special one and if it weren't for the size I would have jumped on it instantly. Congratulations on the purchase!

Do you have a link to the auction? I'd like to see it.
