For me, the silhouette works better as a repeated pattern, as long as it's not too bold.

Here are mock-ups with a repeated pattern in.......
....... royal blue, navy blue, red and green!!

I must say I like this one, but would move the Logo from where it is now to underneath the last stripe on the left hand side.

The cityscape Idea I quite like. Might have a go at an idea on good ol' MS paint...

I like both of these but if pressed I would choose the one on the right on silk. I like its style. How much did you say these would run, around $40?

I like Indy's mock-ups, but the FL medallion does not translate well to a small icon.

what about just isolating the hat like this in gold, and goin with woven?

You could even repeat a simple element like this-

This is what I was thinking about with my previous post. The FL medallion would be a woven pattern in the background color. It makes for a very subtle, understated effect while still displaying our link to the Lounge.

I kind of like something that actually looks like it was made back int he day. A few examples:

The logo could be in the center of this or at the bottom

You could repeat the logo here where the diamonds are.

You can put the logo in a variety of places here.

The colors might not be right but I like the idea of having a pattern more than actual stripes. Just a thought. [huh]

I agree, but aren't club ties fairly vintage style anyway? I would like to produce something "period accurate" but keeps the flavor of the forum. Would anyone actually have some vintage club ties?

It depends on which club ties. They weren't all striped. Striped ties look more like school uniform ties to me. [huh]

Well I wouldn't be completely adverse to such an arangement, no.
But maybe everyone that wants to, or has time, should submit a design? Not as a competion of any kind, but rather as a brain trust sort of thing. Then pick a half dozen favorites. [huh]
(I am too preoccupied at present to take on a project of this magnitude.)
