Morgan Wooten, Hall of Fame high school basketball coach, at 88.

High school coach? Yes. Wooten coached DeMatha High School from 1956 - 2002, accumulating a record of 1,274-192, which lands him in second place. He coached 13 future NBA stars including Adrian Dantley. In 1984, USA Today named him coach of the year, the same year his team became national champions.

One of the last greats of the Golden Era, Kirk Douglas, has passed away aged 103. I'll always think of him as Spartacus, though he starred in so many great films like ultimate noir Out of the Past, Paths of Glory, and he played Doc Holliday in ***fight at the OK Corral; I had the last one on VHS tape years ago.
