Annette. Boy oh boy was I in love with her in 1955. I was 8, she was 9. It wasn't till the next season that I realized how totally I was NOT the only one.

This is truly sad. In our family, our little girls know Annette from Pee Wee Herman's Christmas special, with Frankie Avalon. I had a crush on her from re-runs of the Mickey Mouse Club. God bless her.

So I was mistaken all these years. She was actually 12 in 1955. Whatever. She was a darling little girl, and a nice lady. The MS was a horrendous thing, but she bore it bravely.
