I believe this is the first assassination of a US political figure in my lifetime. Even if he never held an office, he was extremely influential.

The assassination of Charlie Kirk has shocked Australia as well. Big news here and in my work place. A lot of us in shock here too. I can't imagine what his wife and kids are going through.

Lived in my hometown of Stratford, Ontario from 2014. I'd see him about now and again, and we took our girls to see him as Toad in a Christmas play from Wind in the Willows. Too young. If you want to see a more comedic side of him, look up his character Edgar Montrose in The Red Green Show!

For me Greene was one of those actors who if he's in a film you can be guaranteed his scenes/role will be great, even if the rest of the film is mediocre. Stanley Tucci is another like that.

I felt Redford was a decent actor for his time. I was dragged by my High School girlfriend at the time to see... "The Way We Were". The whole time I watched it the only thing I could think of was "Why would Streisand co-star with a man prettier than she is?" He was great in Jerimiah Johnson however....
