I liked Mr. Calfa in everything I saw him in (which, admittedly, wasn't much), but I'd have to go with Ernie in The Return of the Living Dead as my favorite. The first time I saw it I sat through almost the entire movie thinking, "Where do I know this guy from?" It was about 15 minutes before the movie ended that I realized he played the appreciation-producing neighbor in 10 (1979).Don did so many great roles over the years, like Barney Miller, but I will always think of Weekend At Bernie's as my favorite role!
Van Williams, arguably best known for playing Britt Reid/The Green Hornet on the 1960s television series The Green Hornet, died on November 28 of renal failure in Scottsdale, Arizona. He was 82 years old.
I hadn't heard of him in so long I would have guessed he already was. I loved the Green Hornet.
My wife and I have matching Impalas. Hers is white, mine is a midnight grey. I've been threatening to have one of those "turntable" things installed in the garage for a while now.
Uh, the Black Beauty was a Chrysler Imperial, not a Chevy Impala.
