Then you might opt for a faux cuff which delivers the look of a cuff without need of the required length.

I go with 1.75" at the minimum. Modern cuffs tends to be 1.5", and to me, they just don't look right.

I agree with this.

I'm 5'9" and most of my trouser cuffs are 2" high. I enjoy the way the bigger cuff moves when I walk; it really makes the bottom of the pants swing with the momentum of my feet.

I'm 6-2, however, because I am longwaisted, and to avoid the legs appearing short, I avoid cuffs, and it helps with the proportions.
