A proper fitting boot won't pinch the toes--even roach killers--just sayin
But you may have to go custom to get it.....

What are your thoughts on a belt matching?

You have an impressive collection, do you try and color/leather match at all (same as dress shoes)?

Thanks for the complement. As far as belt matching goes I just pair the boots with either a black or brown western styled belt. I only have two and with so many variable shades of brown/cognac/tan and so forth, it would almost be impossible to match every pair of boots, not to mention the dark red pair or black cherry elephants I have. Also, I exclusively wear jeans with my boots so it's much more casual than what I would do with dress shoes. (I think I have some.) I've seen some match belts and boots with the same color and hide. Something I'm not a big fan of.

I am on the hunt for a nice Ranger style belt though.

Vintage Tony Lama boots. If I remember correctly, I think @Bamaboots helped me determine these are made of Caribou and are from the 1960s.

Perhaps these boots aren't vintage enough, but I got 'em for Christmas. They're tan mad dog goat Lucchese Since 1883 (brown label -- made in USA). I had that same style once upon a time but with narrow snip toes. I didn't like the way it looked; I was a die-hard medium round toe guy. But I decided to try something different this time, and I must admit I really like this style of toe -- not round toe but not narrow snip toe either and certainly not outright square toe.

I finally remembered to write the folks at Paul Bond to get the specs on these.

Built for Robert Riddle of Myrtle Beach, SC 2001.

14” shaft with a shallow scallop

I'm amazed at how well they fit.

Bob, that is fine pair of boots and Spanish calf is a nice leather.

Every time I see a pair of red and black boots I'm reminded of these. Made by a guy that I think used to be a manager ar Paul Bond's, Spyder Daly. These came out of his Arizona shop, Grumpy ******* Boots. Apologies if I've posted them before.

Not my boots but I saw the model when they were being sold by one of the big Texas chains, now out of business. They were made & sold under private label but I always thought they were being made by Sendra in Spain. Sendra was making some quality boots at the time.

Made by a guy that I think used to be a manager ar Paul Bond's, Spyder Daly.

Spyder was the manager for about a yr or so. He followed Bob McLean as I recall, & left to go back to cowboying. There was also a young woman manager around that time. I don't recall exactly when she was manager.
