They are supposed to be just a bit small for a size 12. In my wheelhouse. They should arrive tomorrow by the end of day.

Thanks for the well wishes (it's been a bad day). On a good note, the boots arrived and they fit! They were originally made for a guy named "Bob" ... has to be destiny. I'll post pics after I open them up on Christmas morning.

Nah ... I just have a "Secret Santa" that I know pretty well. Shortly after I purchased the boots the water pump on my wife's car went out ($800), the furnace in the rental house went out ($2000) and I had to get a tooth crowned ($700). Karma-wise the self-purchased boots at Christmas time may have been a bad choice.

Interesting costs & pricing comparison. The wk of 12/05 I had to have a water pump & serpentine belt replaced on my wife's car ($415), last winter a new furnace & AC at my mom's house ($2100), & the last time I had to have a crown just a few yrs ago it was $1400.

And my latest dress boots--black kangaroo vamps and tops with black alligator overlays on the vamp and top, veriegated black/grey stitching--Was going for "flashy but classy" and think I succeeded!

I really like your riding boots. I like the butterscotch tops with collars, & the toes make it known they are not just the Stockman boots. The waxed calf is wearing in to look like a roughout too.
