humm, i just found a site where it mentions how to enlarge a pattern from a desktop image.
I might be able to apply it to this patterns!!!

I've gone through a couple Advance and Hollywood patterns and early 1930s patterns so far.

But I'm noticing that the "pattern pieces" for drafting look to me just like the illustrations for pattern layout that are on the back of the envelopes.

If so (I could be wrong, and that is what I'm asking about) then there's no guarantee they are too scale or will work once you enlarge them.

They're helpful, for sure, and could be used to help with drafting, but it's not quite the same as having scaleable pattern pieces, is it?

I agree with you Laughing Magpie some of the patterns are poor quality and with not a huge knowledge of drafting patterns; for what looks to be quite delicate and intricate detailing, I have stuck to smaller projects like aprons, bags, hats & shoes.

I have kept the dress patterns just for reference, it's great just to have the images to lust after, where else could you see so many wonderful images.

I was up till 2am last night looking and I'm going straight to Abakhan (huge fabric warehouse) in North Wales to get some fabric to get started.

Thank you so much for posting this info. There goes my afternoon tomorrow, ha! I'll be spending most of the day copying patterns. I wish I wasn't such a beginner at sewing. Ah well. These patterns will come in super handy when I'm an "expert." I'm excited to put these to use!

Yes, I got the last of the main ones I wanted this morning and then it stopped. Several people on other sewing sites I know are having the same issues, and some were having them yesterday.
