Can someone help me with the name of an item?

I am looking for one of those containers that you put body powder into that the giant puff sits on top of inside the container. I have seen them in ceramic/porcelain and also metal materials before but I don't know what they are called.

I have been searching online and did several eBay searches for body powder, body powder puffs, etc. and I am not really having any luck without knowing the name of the thing. I am finding a lot of various brands of scented powders in their own containers (but they are the disposable cardboard containers that the modern scented powder comes in). I am wanting one in a nice material to keep on my vanity that i can refill.

Does anyone know the proper name of them?

Look under 'vanity set' vintage or "vanity"

and you will see enough different ones....

I would suggest getting a -new- puff and not ruining a vintage one.

My Mom and Granny had one of those. We called them body powder jars or dishes.

Also search under decanter.

Usually "powder box"

or "powder jar" on Ebay. There are zillions of them!
