Good idea ebay, do you have charity shops? In the UK charites have retail shops, I took some good clothes that I never wear anymore, along to a local charity shop for donation. Just perusing the men's clothing rack I saw a suit that looked fantastic. Checked it out and the label inside read: "Huntsman & Sons." Google it. Shame it wasn't my size.

If you must buy new, get Brooks Brothers at the outlet then get it tailored.

Heavy plus for Caruso. Figure out your size and check ebay. You can get a top of the line suit for well under budget.
