A truly beautiful hat. The term "Ruvido" has been used by some other Italian hatters to describe mixed felts, finished with a "heather felt" with fairly firm naps. Needless to say, I wish it were my size.
Thank you, Daniele. I'm always on the lookout for the nice Barbisios.

Barbisio Titan in a dark brown colour called Maia. Size 57 with the brim at 6,5cm and the crown at 11cm at the center dent. I own another one of these in a size 55 from the M. Hutter deadstock collection. I rarely wear that one because it's just too small. I expect to wear this one a lot more. Weighs 156 grams and has a great hand to the felt.

This one carries the name Berteil but the actual maker is Barbisio and so it gets posted here.
Berteil fedora in a brown colour called terranova. Size according to the label is 59, but it's not even close to that. Very lightweight (71 grams) and soft felt and the label betrays who the maker was: Barbisio. Both the size label and the colour label are the same as Barbisio used, only their name is missing.

Barbisio Lontra in a grey misto felt. Size 57 with the overwelt brim at 6cm and the crown at 11,5cm at the front. Lovely hand to the felt and I have a soft spot for these lontra hats. This one was in a right state when it arrived: dirty, liner missing, ribbon shaky at best and the sweatband detached. Still liked it. Washed the hat and reattached the sweatband. Like it even better.

Super Barbisio Antilope Extra Lusso fedora in a grey brown colour that's hard to capture. Size 60 with the raw edge brim at 6,5cm and the crown at 11cm at the center dent. We don't see antilope finished hats from Barbisio often and this is an older hat. No label under the sweatband on this one.

A Barbisio Rat-Gondin (Nutria) Homburg I am wearing today. Great good proportions this one. 6 inch crown with 2 3/4 inch brim (to the break, otherwise it is a 3" brim), it is a sort of daub grey. Handwritten info on the label, printed Barbisio at the end just like the Borsalino ones (Cannot get a good photo, broke stitches just trying to peak:oops::(). I have I think three of these hats now. Good quality.

We have see Brasiliano hats posted here over the years with everyone always wondering where they came from, if they are a brand, a sub-brand of a well known manufacturer or some other name passed around from various manufacturers.

I still do not have the actual answer, but this hat is clearly one made by Barbisio, a Classic, originally sold in Italy. Love the styling, the feel of the felt and, of course, she shark gill hatband.
