B2 hat - Eastman VS Fivestars

Chaps I’m thinking of getting a B2 hat… Believe the top two makers are Eastman and Fivestar.

If you own either - what are your impressions?

Are there other makes out there that produce the same or better quality?

Five Star is not the top maker of anything at all. Even if there is a product that only they make, they are still at the bottom of the barrel.

I own one myself and it is so nice to wear in the winter, incredibly light and warm. I think you just need to make up your mind that you are going to look silly and embrace it.

Five Star is not the top maker of anything at all. Even if there is a product that only they make, they are still at the bottom of the barrel.

But neither are they charging top maker prices.

Having only just the one Five Star jacket I obviously can’t make a judgement on their whole output, however for the money I can’t really fault my G-1.
Premium quality goatskin outer, a real mouton collar, tight waist & cuff knits, good cotton lining and all with stitchwork which is just fine.

Maybe I was just lucky but regardless of which manufacturer/retailer you choose buying outside of your home country always carries a risk if things don’t go quite as smoothly as planned. Even returning an item due to it just not fitting may not be a simple process.
