Looks like a terrific movie. They were shooting it near my office on 125th St last year. I was in a local burger joint called Jimbo's, when none other than Russell Crowe came in to get a burger. He was in jeans and a nondescript sweat shirt, and was obviously trying to look as anonymous as possible. All to no avail. Just as they were handing him his burger, somebody did a big double take on him and said, very loudly, "Yo! Gladiator!"
Crowe's face crumpled with chagrine. He grabbed his lunch and dashed out the door, with this yahoo behind him, yelling down the street. "Yo! Gladiator! GLAD EEE ATOR!!!"
Poor guy.

Anyway, the movie was pretty good, but I found myself paying more attention to the suits and hats than the movie sometimes.

I love Russell Crowe, too. He's so versatile and well, just downright good at what he does.
I've wanted to see this movie ever since I watched the trailer. Can't wait to see the dynamic between Crowe and Denzel Washington, although I've heard that they are not actually on screen together until late in the movie.

i want to go see it but the closest place to go see it is over 3 hours away. suppose i'll wait until it hits dvd to see it or see if its playing when i'm on a road trip
