It is, but the majority of shearling jackets were shorter, in part because they were designed for sitting in cockpits but also because they usually came twinned with shearling trousers for 'all-over warmth'.
Mind you, I forgot how good my Irvin looks - another month and it should be cold enough to wear it. I really ought to post some updated pics...

Not quite real Irvin weather but I've been waiting 6 months now so I took advantage of the dip in temperature. Sorry it's a bit blurry, not the best light and Mum isn't the steadiest hand.

Here it's 15-20 C, rain, sun, roses blooming, garden growing, not exactly Irvin time... Nice jacket, love the look (well, I do the same, why wouldn't I...). Just one question, how come the shearling is different color on the sleeves and waist than the collar? Just the light when the picture was taken?
