Regarding the mislabeled jackets, I would think that all Aero would need to do would be to change the labels to reflect what is truly being sold. I really do feel a profound sense of relief this is ordeal is about over for them.

It was actually the key to the rest of the stuff being discovered. I'll make sure I explain it properly in my digest.

This was part of a prolonged and circular exchange. He couldn't get his head around what the prosecutor was getting at.

Yes indeed this is what a lot of us will be watching, especially the employees that went over I imagine

My comment was directed less at employees who moved from Aero to AL, and more to companies who have joint ventured with AL, and worked closely with Lauder, in the production of AL jackets for the joint venture company. Will these companies continue to do business with AL/Lauder and/or design/release jackets in partnership with AL/Lauder?

It will also be interesting to see what Alexander does. If it is true that Lauder owns a minority interest in the company, will Alexander oust him (e.g., an involuntary buy-out)? Even if Alexander does not challenge his ownership interest, will Alexander terminate Lauder's employment? Or, will it be business as usual?

Three of them gave evidence at the trial, which was interesting. WL claimed he was not director, even though he was named one of the founders of the company in the original press releases. Good question about AL, I can't answer it.

I think the bigger problem with the steer jackets being sold as horse...and the mixture jackets..was that customers weren't getting what they though they were.
If the stolen jackets are now sold for what they ARE at a discount...who or why would anyone complain..??

Exactly HD.. I call dibs on any Stuart/maxwell in size 48
I don't care whether it's horse, storse or cow

I was thinking about the storse thing this morning. I'd have been upset had it been my order at the time, but now that they might be up for sale, they might actually be kind of cool one-off jackets.

I would simply write my stuff, if it is needed by one's profession, based on facts. Pre publicity on websites as FL serves no purpose.

I'm pretty sure Sloan has all of the facts. Leaving us all guessing as to where we can find this information makes absolutely no sense, as Sloan is respected here as a member and as a journalist, and people have been waiting a very long time to finally hear the full story.

It'll most definitely be a relief for all parties concerned to be able to move on from this unpleasant chapter in their histories.
Would be keen to know where / how they plan to inform everyone of the impending sale.
Any black cafe racer in a 42 might just be the ticket!

I was probably one of the last to receive a jacket from Mr. Moye (only after emailing Aero and a six-month wait), but I really think we should probably cool the discussion until it's been cleared by the courts.

Hmmmm.... long time coming. I couldn't afford to buy an Aero back then, sale or no sale. Now I've my first custom jobby from Carrie at Insurrection. Funny how time flies... I wasn't here very long before the Mark Moye blow-up then the rest followed quickly on its heels. I can't wait to read the WHOLE story.

Sheriff derives from the old English 'Shire Reeve ' as mentioned by Chaucer in the Canterbury Tales from the 13 hundreds.

Thank you John! I really didn't know that. I just had to check what shire means, because I thought you might be pulling my leg- I've only heard it in the hobbit movies.
You must think I'm a total idiot.
No, wait. This is shire as in Nottinghamshire or Bedfordshire! Now I get the whole Shire Reeve of Nottingham (shire) thing.

I was the only reporter there, so you'll struggle to find any info elsewhere. However, I do have 40-odd typed pages of day-by-day notes, so I'm pretty comprehensive! ;)

Sloan, I appreciate you sharing with us. It's very kind of you. You could just have easily said nothing and told us to read your report in the newspaper. After all, you gotta make a living. Thanks for letting us know.
