Today was a good day to be out and about doing some hiking and exploring.

1880s baseball, cornbread and beans...

*sigh* Ever since I read this post last week I've been craving cornbread and beans, and it gets stronger every time I re-read this post. Unfortunately for me my wife doesn't like cornbread and refuses to even try beans ("fussy eater" is a kind euphemism) so I'll probably have to settle for canned chili and store-bought cornbread.

On the plus side, as long as your son expresses an interest in such things I think it's wonderful that you have the resources to indulge him and the desire to show him how to attend to each properly. He's a lucky boy!
