We took a nice long hike along the ridges a few miles from home. I always liked the view from this spot.

This is what constitutes "adventure" for me nowadays. Wife headed to town on Monday morning and called a few minutes later to say there was a tree on the bridge. A little work with the chainsaw remedied that. Good thing she saw it on Monday or I would have been pretty late to work on Tuesday...

My wife and I had a bit of fun hiking to the top of Table Rock a couple days ago. The wind was blowing so hard that it actually shook me about. Let me tell you, if the wind can push me around, it's really windy!

I did a little hiking on Craggy Pinnacle near Mount Mitchell today. When I left home it was sunny and close to 70 degrees. By the time I got to the top of the mountain it was thick (and very damp) fog, windy, and 40 degrees. Still, it was a good day for a hike.
