I get most of mine at antique shops and sometimes thrift stores. The rest off ebay.

Can anyone direct me to someone who makes reproductions of 40's ties?

PM me I have some striped ones (3 styles) NOZ 1940s viscose unless you want the Art Deco style with the outrageous prints that you see on eBay.

A Fun book on those cool ties

Here is a cool book you can find pretty darn cheap:

"Fit to Be Tied: Vintage Ties of the Forties and Early Fifties"
by Rod Dyer (Author), Ron Spark (Author), Steve Sakai (Author)

Check E-Bay or Amazon for this book. it is a fun little romp on some of the underlying styles and makers. AMAZON Books (Recollectibles) (Hardcover)
