I can move quite well. If I compare it with my Vanson jackets, I would say that the Vansons allow better mobility due to the gusseted back, but it is easier to move in the Aero as the leather isn't as stiff, so it is quite comfortable (at least in the 15ish minutes I had it on at home).

Quick pic zipping the cuffs (excuse the sports shorts), it doesn't alter the mobility although the left sleeve does push down a bit on the watch (which also pushes the sleeve upwards).

That looks just right. I have a few jackets where the watch and sleeve get in the way of one another no matter how the sleeve is fastened.

Looks good. If it also feels good, it is a winner.

That looks just right. I have a few jackets where the watch and sleeve get in the way of one another no matter how the sleeve is fastened.

I sometimes have watch/cuff clashes with my riding jackets, as they tend to have snugger cuffs than my casual jackets.

So I just either put on a slimmer watch or just don't wear a watch.

Doesn't everybody do this?

It doesn't matter when I'm rushing anyway as the last thing I'm looking at is my watch.

I really only have a watch as I rather the smart features instead and while I aesthetically see it doesn't look as nice, it doesn't really bother me that it clashes with the sleeve. Perhaps I don't fully zip that cuff and that's it.

Fit question…I decided to dress up for the office today without going full suit. This Todd Snyder sport coat is one of my favorites.

I had it tailored in at the waist non-aggressively to clean up the fit a few years ago before having kids. Now I’m about 15-20 lbs heavier and it feels a little snug now. However I can still button it and move my arms around. It just doesn’t feel as comfortable. My goal over this summer is to shed about 10lbs.

Can I get someone’s opinions of how it looks? Can I wear it as is or does it pull enough to warrant having my tailor let the waist out a little bit? View attachment 788174 View attachment 788176 View attachment 788178 View attachment 788180 View attachment 788180

Received my customized Aero premier Halfbelt in brown Vincenza HH today. My first jacket was a original Highwayman in size 44 that always was a bit too big in every dimension and didn't fit my ) (-shaped torso all that well.
This Halfbelt is a heavily modified size 44 again with 1 Inch added across the shoulders and 2 inch subtracted across the hem to avoid the wide flare this cut tends to have in my eyes.
The back-length was also shortened to 25,5 Inch despite me being 6'7, as I have a short torso and I prefer vintage-y jackets to hit roughly at belt level.
The back is modified into a multi panel design to get more out of the cream contrast stitching :)
I have to say I really quite happy with how it turned out even if it's not perfect - my natural waist (belly button height) is very slim and the Aero halfbelts are still rather boxy by design, even the Premier. Personally, I don't think I could consciously improve the fit that much even if I had the chance for a remake.

Lewis Leathers 402, size 42, from The Stronghold.

It is perhaps a tad long, but I will not be doing anything about it and will continue wearing. I'd prefer slightly shorter (I have a short torso). I really like the leather.

Very comfortable with room to layer for colder weather

I'll probably reach out to LL about a custom order now too for something else.. opinions welcome!

I agree. It does look big.

What size chest are you @belopsky ?
42". While my actual pecs are currently small, I am thick in the upper back (years of deadlifts and pull ups) so my lats add to the measurement. I also have sloping shoulders so jackets/tops are difficult to size off-the-rack. What fits in the shoulders is typically too tight elsewhere, and vice-versa

I don’t agree with too big. Too long? Yes, for sure. But the chest, shoulders, arms, and body seem good.
Thanks, yes getting jackets to fit for me is always tough as it’s a trade off between mobility and aesthetic :)

also as I’m ramping up lifting weights again I think this will be good longer term

I think you'll have to really put on a lot of muscle for it to fit well long term. I do think it would look good layering, with a thick sweater underneath.

It is not too big. It closes tight at the hips; if you were to size down, you couldn't zip it up without looking like a leather sausage. Your initial assessment is on spot. It is unusually long for a biker jacket of this style but other than chopping off 1.5-2" body length, I wouldn't change a thing about it. Except I would never buy a Lewis Leather in 2026, insanely overpriced IMHO.
