Today is damp and cold so time for tweed and a furry hare hat with Trickers shoes.

We had our tropical depression slid by down on the coast overnight. we didnt get any wind or rain here, but the system is sure pulling in the heat and humidity. 6 am in the morning and its 75 degrees, dead calm, and 95+% humidity already. Supposed to hit 97 this afternoon... yuck!

Seemed this this would be a good Banjo Paterson day. time to go get coffee

There have only been two pair of American Royal boots turn up so far. This pair of boots were made for the 1950 American Royal Rodeo Champion Eddy Williams by saddlemaker Charles P Shipley.

The other pair were made as a gift for a long-time American Royal Governor (& remain in the family) also by Shipley.

another "inside the teakettle" morning here in East Texas ( 80 degrees and 100% humidity at daybreak.) The coffee hat of the day is a Stetson Bristol braided hemp

At least it was just hot here yesterday.... I saw that a town about 100 miles east of here got 23" of rain yesterday... thats a two or three Akubra day there!
