Sizing up with thicker lining - Aero

Hello,

I was wondering if people have had experience with thicker linings from Aero like the quilted lining. I received a fit jacket that fits pretty great from Thurston, but they are saying some people need to size up when getting the quilted lining.

Has anyone had experience with this?

I don’t mind a wider shoulder look, and I’m hoping to just taper the hem more aggressively. I just don’t want a sloppy looking fit.

Here is me in the test jacket with a few outfits

Looks pretty good. I would aim for at least 4 inches of chest ease (after subtracting the thickness of the leather+lining, twice).
I don't think the hem looks sloppy here.

They are recommending I size up if I go for the quilted lining. I’m probably going to go for their recommendation, but it is scary because the current size fits so well
