I believe it´s telling to see this one next to my Himel Imperial. Both jackets share a lot of common features and I dare say they do fit exactly the same bill.
Questions like placment of the chest pocket, collar spread and other mini differences are subject to personal taste, of course (and have been debated "ad nauseam" in other parts), but both jackets qualify in the category, "Hand me one jacket for everyday use but make it in the juiciest hide imaginable", IMO.

Close, they’re gucci dark brown double G side zips.

I got them to replace my irreplaceable martin era dark brown margiela side zips, which sadly fell pray to my little girl’s wrath.

I do have the black leather and camel suede chelseas though, in my off-the-bike lineup.

Vanson Maverick

Compared to my 70's Levi I think shows how Vanson nailed the type III cut.

Okay, the Maryam blue Johnson is clearly stunning, but I absolutely have to know what that Maverick was made from. Holy smokes!

Appreciate the kind words @LightenUpFrancis !!

Both jackets made from "ocean" blue Maryam washed horsehide sourced from Rocky Mountain Leather supply. You can see some similarity with the grain. Turns out the shade of blue varies significantly with this color. I ordered this hide two separate times and customer service told me color matching for this color was particularly challenging.

A roll of the dice when purchasing this leather. Can't say which shade I prefer, although I think I'm glad each is a little different to have some variety.

One thing that WILL be consistent with this hide regardless of the color is it's going to be thick. Has weight to it but also very flexible. Quite unique!

Agreed Tom!

Similar but distinctive takes on the style, along with the “off the rack” fit of RC vs customized fit from Himel
