I think I saw that the Matchbox set can be a valuable collectable; much more so than Hot Wheels. Have you priced comps on EBay? The set and box seem to look in pretty good condition. You my have a winner there!
They’re about $15-20. They originally retailed for $10. I had one a long time ago but I sold it and had always wanted another one.

Thrifted this leather vest today for $18. Made by the Nickelson Company. Couldn't find much info about it but I think this vest is from the 90s. Its quite well made and is in immaculate condition showing practically no wear. Steer hide possibly? I like the antiquated finish of the leather. It will work nicely under my lighter chore coats.

Just picked a pair of deck chairs with original canvas still present. Not going to sit on them until a full resto is performed. Also came with an another canvas chair and several foot stools. They were made in Louisiana, and came out of a 1905 four square that they were renovating 30 yrs ago.

Got some old canvas chairs myself, on which I have replaced the canvas. If the frames are still structurally sound, there’s no reason not to. The new canvas is reasonably priced and available in colors and patterns similar to the vintage ones. And it’s about as simple a sewing task as one could imagine.

That’s a Godin, burns wood, coal, dead mafiosi.
By late brother heated his home with a similar stove for several years. Bought it new for a sizable chunk o’ change.
What did you pay for yours?

One of mine. I’m not certain where I found it, but it as likely as not was from one of my favorite interesting old stuff peddlers in Olympia well over a decade ago. I replaced the canvas a few years back.

The remainder of my collection. The deck chair on the left looks a twin to yours. That patch on it is an answer to an errant spark from an open fire several years ago. It’s a synthetic canvas, so it melts. The repair has held up just fine. A couple of the stools are still wearing their original canvas. The green one has a backrest.

New chairs of this type can be had for not a lot of scratch at IKEA, Wayfair, etc. And I wouldn’t fault a person for going that route rather than resurrecting vintage ones, as we have done. But that wouldn’t quite be in keeping with the spirit of this place, where vintage enthusiasts find kindred souls. It brings me some comfort and satisfaction to have this old swag and to know I am not alone in my enthusiasm over it.

I wouldn't consider this a Thrift/Yard sale find but it was from Facebook marketplace today. An original 1950's Browns Beach Jacket I picked up along with other women's jackets and like two men's. Definitely my best find of all time.

1940's Kit Karson/Wolf motorcycle jacket (I believe) that I picked up today from an estate/garage sale for $10. It was just sitting in the garage floor, I had thought it was a leather bag at first til lifting it up. Needs some TLC and cleaning but the leather is in great shape.

My wife ran across a yard sale where everything was priced at 25-cents. Showing immense restraint, she only came home with a few things.

1933-1962 Ball Jelly Glass jars.

My wife knows that I’m into anything vintage with MFA logos, but this was chipped and from the late 1980s. We could use it as a bud vase.

Four large (6-1/2” tall) ice tea glasses similar to the ones her Grandma had.
