They fit really well. I had the toe box removed, that made a great difference. I have a high instep and they fit me so nice now I am thinking of getting another pair in a different colour.

Still en-route, but just got a fresh pair from unsung house. I was on the fence since I have a pair already in murdered out black guidi HB, but couldn’t resist the grain on this pair.

John Lofgren USN N-1 Field Shoes aka Boondockers are my newest pair to arrive. I was between sizing on these since I Brannock 10 D, but wear 9 D in the Lofgren engineers, however I chose to do 9.5 D in these and I am happy I did as I wanted more room with the ability to tighten the laces down if need be. They fit better each day now.

A week later and 5 wears or so.

I accidentally got a drop of leather dye on the toe of my left Corcoran tanker, so I decided to just go ahead and dye the toebox heel counter and edge of the outsoles.

They look better in person, but they'll really look great once they fully dry and the color evens out.
I got a little on some unintended edges here and there, but I never baby my boots so it won't be long before that's irrelevant and unnoticeable.

I bought these 2 years ago, Abeline Hawthorne roughout, I do love redwings, but these were as stiff as hell, so they were languishing in my closet, since then I broke in my Mr Lous and put these back on, and wondered why I was being such a wimp breaking these in, now these are my daily work boots for a while.

Here’s the Army equivalent JL Service Boot. Also just a few weeks, but already one of my faves.

Still can’t really see the difference between the Boondockers and mine (I know it’s a different last), but great boots for sure!
