It’s with a heavy heart that I’m going to have to part ways with this beautiful original Buco J22. Sadly just a bit too small for me. Posting it up here before listing on eBay in case anyone is interested.

Beautiful condition, heavy leather with incredible patina and wear. Wool lining is virtually perfect with no holes and sleeves seem to be the same. VERY unusual original Talon main zipper (if anyone has info on this I’d love to hear it). In my time with this jacket I’ve had the D pocket zip replaced with a NOS Talon and retained the original puller (all work done by the good folks at Bill Kelso). Now everything works as it should.

I’m 6”2 and wear a 42/44 and I can wear this open but zipped is a bit snug. It would suit a 40/42 in my opinion but measurements below. If anyone is interested pls DM a sensible offer. I’m based in London but happy to ship.

Arms seem a bit shorter than usual. Not sure if this was original or modified but seems neat either way.

Pit to pit: 22.5”
Shoulder to shoulder: 20”
Shoulder to cuff: 23”
Pit to cuff: 16”
Hem: 18.5”
Base of collar to hem: 23.5”

Sleeves look like shorten'd afterwards. Zippers are shorter than usual. Nice lining - solid jacket. Maybe pre 1950s. Talons brown tape aka WW2 & post. so could be late 40s. Has what looks like original belt .. nice! Main Zipper Pull is a dead giveaway. Definitely 1940s. Post zipper box. I would offer but shorter sleeves bug me and hate paying all the tariffs!! Gaz.

I don’t think the main zip is replaced. I thinks it is original. The sleeve length (short) would bug me but I’m all in for main zip. If you can work on price I’d be interested. Exchange rate is a killer. Nice jacket though

You can see the original stitch line and holes here.
