I think these were originally intended for snowmobile use.
Not so much. Craig Vetter went to West High school in Anchorage, Alaska so to him a jacket w/out insulation made less sense than one with. Same guy that was on the leading edge of development during that period when the aftermarket motorcycle fairing was in its infancy. At that time 'standard' motorcycles were being fitted with fairings in order to make them a little more comfortable for longer distance riding.

Nice looking 70s vintage leather jacket. Pretty cool style, and in very nice condition, easily worth the $100 asking price. Just a little too small for me or I'd be tempted. Supposedly a 44, but the p2p as measured in the photos is only 21".

What a beauty! Looks like unworn. I would have bought it, but too late. This is a Blatt edition, early 50s, last of the wool lined. Interesting jacket. Great Buy!
