Be careful... hemp stratoliners and open roads tend o multiply in Texas warmth

Ha! I hope so! I am really looking forward to the sage strat. I'm considering the navy and natural strats. And seriously thinking about the ORs.

My local hat shop has an OR I think I'm getting when I go to pick up my felt Western I sent off for cleaning.

I've had two sage hemp straws..on new one a bit faded and used...I gave the new one to my brother and kept the used one..in my view they age really nicely. If they start getting floppy, just hit them with some steam and get some moisture back in it. Mine have all plumped and firmed up nicely with humidity

Great tip!
My fishing hat is an old hemp Western. It usually takes a dip in the lake when it's hot. Always wondered why it seemed peppier after that.

I managed to snag my first Dunlap today, but I won't get to see it in person until I return to the States in the middle of next month. Here is a preview. It is a Triumph by Dunlap with a "Super Sonic Edge." The seller says it is a 5" crown with a 2 1/2" brim. Can't wait to see it.

Managed to get this one on eBay, I think, as soon as it appeared. Coming to Florida from Italy, a 1920's-1930's era, Borsalino Bombetta Fu Lazzaro. From the original Fu Lazarro Borsalino family hatters, this bowler seems to be in perfect condition with a minor rip in the sweatband stitching. Still and all it looks to be a beautiful piece to add to my collection and my first original Fu Lazarro.

Nice catch, Jeff. Saw that one on another auction site as well. Not my size and not a price I would be comfortable with as a nice to have. Good that it find a good home.

Not sure what possessed me to save this hat, but the cost was minimal and these oddball brands need keepers. I like the style as well. Haven’t found a thing about Revere Hats so far. The hat store is another frustration. You would think that sometime between 1851 and 1995 that someone would have taken a good photo of the exterior and it would have been shared on the web by now.

I wish I could say that it has actually found a home, as the seller had backed out of the sale, citing the increased expense of shipping. I am still trying to work something out, but at least it's documented here. If not.

Edit: I was able to work it out with the seller and it will be on its way to the US.

I'm waiting for 3 hats I sent to Paris Hatters to be cleaned and worked on. Here's photos taken there after they finished. #1. 1930's Stetson Number 1, #2 1920's Clear Nutria, #3 1920's Unk Stetson, probably Number 1 Quality.

Great fu Lazzaro find, Jeff. Glad to hear that you finally got the seller to make the deal.

Looking forward to seeing head shots once it arrives.
