Who made these chairs?

We just picked up these recliners which are really nice. They slide recline which is really cool and nice. Just trying to figure out the manufacturer and time frame, we are thinking 30’s.

Do they have springs & eyebolts under the bottom cushion? I know that Ethan Allen made a copy in the 1970’s.

Do they have springs & eyebolts under the bottom cushion? I know that Ethan Allen made a copy in the 1970’s.

Springs yes in the cushion no eye bolts. We find that the covers on one chair were made in England. We also discovered that they have the original fabric underneath ‘newer’ upholstery. I say newer in that the nail heads are flat and copper covered due to the corrosion on a few of them. That and all the hardware is flat head screwdriver style not Phillips.
