Borsalino vicuna information

I recently acquired a Borsalino hat with the "Vicuna" inscribed on the inner brim. The hat is dark green and very soft and supple. Can anyone tell me if it's a blend of vicuna with something else, or if it's 100% vicuna? And perhaps a price?

Nice find there, Wouter and welcome to the lounge. The Vicuña imprint on the sweatband doesn't necessarily mean anything to be honest. It could refer to the felt content, but it could also refer to the finish of the felt. The hat is from the Ardilla line of Borsalino hats. Those are not known for any special felt content other than rabbit, as far as we know anyway. Manufacturers are and were notoriously tightlipped about these things and kept that information to themselves. There could be some vicuña in the felt-mix, but almost certainly not 100%. If that was the case it would be a special production and it would say so more prominently. Is there a label behind the sweatband (opposite the Borsalino logo)?
Pricewise we can't say much; there are too many variables in the mix: size, model, colour, etc.
