I apparently saw him open for the Clash in 1984; however, although I remember the Clash very well, I remember nothing about his set.

He does a pretty good cover of Should I Stay or Should I Go and I’ve read that he was on the backing vocals for their recording of the song but I don’t know that.

Annette Dionne, last surviving Dionne Quintuplet, has died at the age of 91. Even in today's world of cheap and sleazy fame, it is impossible for modern folk to really comprehend just how famous these five little girls were in the 1930s, simply because they existed. Or, for that matter, to really understand the sheer rapaciousness of what was done to them in the name of that fame.

I've been a Deadhead for fifty years, and this hurts like losing a family member.

Bobby was an absolutely unique musician, nothing like a typical "rhythm guitarist", and he wrote/sang a bunch of the Dead's signature tunes. Maybe he wasn't the obvious genius that Jerry Garcia was, but he was absolutely just as essential to the Dead's special brilliance.
