For sale is an authentic The Real McCoy’s MJ19115 30s Leather Sports Jacket “Nelson” in size 44. This model is completely sold out worldwide, and size 44 is one of the hardest to find, making this a strong opportunity for collectors and fans of heritage leather outerwear.

Condition:

The jacket is in excellent pre-owned condition with one functional issue. The bottom portion of the front zipper is not working. The zipper teeth and pull are intact, but the base no longer locks, so the jacket will not fully zip from the bottom.

A brand-new replacement zipper, sourced directly from The Real McCoy’s, is included with the sale. Any professional leather tailor can install it.

Estimated Repair Cost:

Replacing a zipper on a leather jacket typically costs between $50 and $120 depending on the tailor and location. Since the correct zipper is already provided, the labor cost will likely fall on the lower end of that range.

Item Details

• Vegetable-tanned horsehide (pigment finish)

• Cotton herringbone lining

• 1930s Talon-style front zipper

• McCoy ball-chain chest zipper

• Iron-pressed buckle

• Made in Japan

• Model number MJ19115

Measurements (Size 44)

(From The Real McCoy’s official size chart; screenshot included)

• Chest: 23.4 in

• Sleeve: 26.2 in

• Length: 25.8 in

• Shoulder: 20.3 in

This fits true to Real McCoy’s sizing for a standard 44. Ideal for someone who typically wears an XL or a 42–44 in vintage-inspired leather jackets.

Curious to know why the zipper failed on a fairly new jacket. Missuse? If anything else I wouldn't replace with the same zipper. Certainly not a hookless.
