Okay. What do we know about them? Who has experience with them? A web search turned up Gro Cord, a product of the Lima Cord Sole & Heel Co., of Lima, Ohio. There are photos online of an old advertisement and their old stock certificates. Cord soles are currently offered by ArmorTred, Red Wing, Dr. Sole, & Vibram. Who has experience with them? How do they feel? How do they hold up in the rain? How long do they last? Has anyone worn them on uneven terrain?

Funny how life throws surprises at you. My dog needed emergency surgery and it cleaned out our savings completely. I was stressed about how to rebuild before anything else happened. Decided to try a few different places without much hope and honestly lost small amounts at first. Then one night I went higher on a session with cascading symbols and the whole screen lit up with nonstop wins. The payout rebuilt the fund and left a bit extra for a nice dinner out. Found the site through spin mama and noticed the offers were actually fair. The dog is healthy and we finally feel back on track.

I'm just getting around to organising myself to have my Iron Rangers resoled. Bought them new in 2013, worn them hard since. The heels are needing down now, and I'm planning to go to the small extra expense of paying to have the whole soles done. It's only really the heels that look like they need done, strictly speaking, so I will probably take them in in person and ask whether they think I need the whole lot done. I'd have done it already, but they're in Brighton, so it's a day trip really I need to organise. The soles on those were labelled as corded new. Thirteen odd years of heavy wear should given you some idea of their durability! Corded soles that look like the top pair on my 2268s (Red Wing Engineer boots); I think I'm like to have closing in on maybe a decade before I need to replace those. They seem to last a lot longer than the heels on any of my dress shoes, which need redone every couple of years.

Found these examples when I was rooting around my old shop maybe 15 years ago, I have a pair of the cats paw heels, sadly only one of each of the soles.

I thought this was going to be about actually corded soles, like some sandals and dress shoes of old with twine-like cord. It's been A LONG time I've seen those. I'll be watching the thread though. I like to see feedback of durability and longevity.
