John Lofgren Monkey Boots Shinki Horsebuttt - $1,136 The classic monkey boot silhouette in an incredibly rich Shinki russet horse leather.
Grant Stone Diesel Boot Dark Olive Chromexcel - $395 Goodyear welted, Horween Chromexcel, classic good looks.
Schott 568 Vandals Jacket - $1,250 The classic Perfecto motorcycle jacket, in a very special limited-edition Schott double rider style.
Problem sleeve length....Vanson Highwayman in Size 12 with modified sleeves (They seem quite short).
I believe this is a female size and I think it would be too big for my lady and, anyway, it's in US and I don't want to pay import fees and tariffs, but perhaps someone wants to get it. It's in auction mode and at 90USD now plus shipping.

I circumvent the problem you describe by sticking to jackets that are fairly clean inside and out. I completely rule out jackets with tatty liners and those with mold/mildew odour; just the odour, no colony even, would be enough to raise the risk. Mold/mildew odour means traces of the spores are there (not just the omnipresent spores, I mean they're literally everywhere in the world in low concentration, but leftovers from a colony on or near the jacket).
So this jacket never actually got listed here on FL, but I wanted to let all you great folks know this jacket isn't on the market anymore, and it is being donated (actually it should likely be trashed.)another deal on a gorgeous CHP, this time from branded. Hide looks amazing! Tagged 44, $250 BIN

That is very nice. If it were a bit larger, I would highly consider it. I doubt the waist area would work for me.This is a very nice Cal. I bought it for $420 but the woman's measurements are off by 1.5 inches. The pit to pit on this is 22 inches (see the photo below).
I returned this jacket, explained what was wrong (and included photos) and received a refund: but the woman then told me I was wrong and the jacket is indeed 20.5 inches pit to pit.
I asked her to send me a photo of the full measurement but she has not done so. This is NOT 20.5 inches or I would have kept it!
If you can get this for $400ish, it is well worth it. There is a slight seem issue on a sleeve (see photo) which I also pointed out to her but she didn't include it in the new listing, which is really underhanded of her.
Here are my photos and then below them is the eBay link. She originally had it listed at $800+ price and then cut it in half, which is when I bought it. I don't think I would pay $800 for it, but $400 is fair if she cuts it in half again.
This jacket made me fall in love with Cals. I am searching for a size 38, if anyone has one they'd like to sell.

She halfed the price already. The new listing posted last night but it's down to $449 this morning. When I bought it, I made offers starting at 350 and it was finally accepted at $420.This is a very nice Cal. I bought it for $420 but the woman's measurements are off by 1.5 inches. I would hold my horses here. If I was a seller I wouldn't want my email randomly being posted in a random forum I have no idea it exists. If you really want others to get it at a good price, you should post her email here (if you have it). That’s 10-15% selling fees that eBay wouldn’t be getting.

Asking for permission to share it privately via DM would be best. Although at the same time as a buyer I might not trust her enough and prefer to pay the extra for the ebay protection.
2 much money for a Cal with stitching issues. If I was selling that jacket I would quickly accept an offer for 200 bucks. This is a very nice Cal. I bought it for $420 but the woman's measurements are off by 1.5 inches. The pit to pit on this is 22 inches (see the photo below).

Only $200? Oh my—are Cals really considered that much worse than, say, a Buco or a used Aero? Or is this mostly because of the stitching issue on that particular jacket?2 much money for a Cal with stitching issues. If I was selling that jacket I would quickly accept an offer for 200 bucks.

Personally, I find the 1945 Cal cross-zip design far more attractive than most modern repro jackets with elongated bodies.
