Hi. I’m back again. Sorry if I post too many of my new finds.
I could use help from my well knowledgeable fellow members. The jacket is made with 2.25oz Leather I believe it’s a light weight leather? Any thoughts? It is made in USA and I was able to buy it for $27.00. It’s probably considered a low grade Leather, but the style looked really nice and it looked well-made.
Fox Leather uses 3.5oz Leather so this is a Lighter Weight Leather.

Looks great for the price - "There's more to life than heavy leather."
Especially since you can barely buy a decent Tee-shirt for $27, and if you want a fancy golf polo, you're looking closer to $90+ now.

Hi I received the jacket and I am very happy with the quality of the craftsmanship. The Jacket is very heavy in weight. All the hard wear is heavy duty and zippers are Brass YKK With Leather Pulls. Nice Heavy Duty Snaps.

Hi
I received the jacket. It is really a well made jacket. The Jacket looks hardly worn. The leather has a nice weight to it. High quality YKK Zippers With Leather Pulls. The Snaps are Heavy Duty. Two inside pockets. I did use Doc Bailey’s Black Leather Conditioner and came out Great.

It looks great! Doc Bailey's Leather Conditioner, eh? I'll have to get some myself for one of my older jackets.

I have two leather jackets from San Diego Leather. I got the Indy bomber jacket in black cowhide and the Orleans 102X. They're definitely not as good or feel as comfortable as my Schott Perfecto, but they're decent starter type jackets. Good for lousy weather or if you're worried somebody might spill something all over you at a party. A beater jacket, in other words. But yours looks really great, looks much higher quality than the two I got from them.

Hi. I agree not a Schott but also when new probably didn’t cost as much. The leather is not in the same class as a Schott but like you said a great knock around Jacket.
Try the Doc Bailey’s contains Lanolin and no Silicone.

Oh yeah, these San Diego jackets are less than half the price of a Schott. I once asked them about where they get their leather. If I remember correctly, they said the cowhide is sourced in the U.S. I think their other leathers, like goatskin, are imported. Their San Diego label jackets are made in house, on site in their store. If they don't have a finished product in stock, the wait time is only about two weeks. Their designs tend to look good on their website, but when I got the jackets, the look and the fit/feel are not in the same ball park as Schott. You get what you pay for certainly applied for me. For what I paid, though, I wasn't expecting greatness, of course.

The jacket you got looks to be their "Police A" jacket. A CHP type jacket, priced at almost $500. Their website says it's 3.0 oz cowhide leather. So I don't think it's 2.25 oz. (The Orleans 102X that I got is 2.25 oz.)

I was thinking about getting their Police A jacket. Still might at some point. Or maybe I'll just get the Vanson CHP when it's on sale.

But congratulations on your find! For $27, that was highway robbery for a California Highway Patrol jacket!

I once owned a 1990’s Vanson AR Cafe Racer. That leather was so thick and heavy. I don’t know the actual thickness and weight, but it was way thicker and heavier than any of my Schott jackets from that time.
The Chips Style Jackets are So Nice.
I just Bought this TRD Jacket the seller said it was from the 1990’s. The Leather used in making this jacket is Heavy and Thick.
The Tan Color is nice.
