I love the Fed IV!!

Seemed like a good day to wear a brown Fed IV for some reason. Happy Halloween everybody!

I took a little walk on my friend's property here in NW Montana this morning, the view is amazing. My Fed IV has been my hat on this trip, I think it was the correct choice.

Got my first fedora a few days ago after reading heaps about them here. Thanks gentlemen for all your tips and advice. I ended up getting the deluxe in Moonstone, and it hasn't left my head since! It's so comfortable, I sometimes forget I'm wearing it!

I just had a look and The Hattery now has available multiple sizes of Deluxe browns and graphites. 212 USD plus shipping is still a decent price imo.

I'm hoping the graphites will still be available when I get back to the US in February - they actually look pretty darn cool.

Federation IV Deluxe (Open Crown)

The Federation IV is based on pre WW2 looks, and features a straight sided crown as common from the era. It is the closest hat we have to the Indiana Jones movie.

Just got a fed deluxe heritage fawn. Beautiful hat and color. One thing I don't think I've seen before is this liner color and lettering.

Akubra is under new management as of November 2023. I'm pretty sure the new owners will retain the name (I can't imagine they'd be foolish enough to stop using such a recognizable one) so new liners could be the tip of that iceberg.

I can confirm that new liners are out. Purchased a Bogart last month and had a new style liner on it.
