Today is a Sovereign Stetson Twenty Suede Finish Open Road
So sorry to hear this, Terry! But at least you don’t have a dog you have to walk.Today it's a Resistol Stagecoach for me. This is another that I restored and sized up. It now sports a Cutter Crease and a curled 3 1/2 inch brim.

Also, I'm sportin' a new Cowboy boot. I had recently got over a back issue that caused my right leg to lose muscle. After a somewhat painful back injection I was going through therapy to restore the muscle and strength in my leg. I only had one more day of therapy left when I went outside looking for our cat and I slipped and fell in the snow. My right leg, the one I was taking therapy for, folded up under me and the whole weight of my body came down on top of it and fractured my fibula. The cat was on the front porch the whole time. Moral of the story, get a dog. They're a lot less trouble. This has been a bad year for getting hurt. At least I got a fancy cowboy boot out of it. Just one of these boots is all I want. I don't need the pair.

4 weeks in the boot was what I was ordered, as well. Then another 5 in hard-soled shoes before I was to be considered fully healed. Like you, the pain was at its worst in the evening, which is inconvenient if you like to sleep well.My wife and a good friend of mine told me that from now on we need start carrying our cell phones when we get out walking around. Never can tell what's going to happen when you need to get hold of somebody.
THAT is one awesomely amazing hat!!!!
A high quality velour made by Anton Peschel (Nový Jičín) for Oviatt's, likely later 1930s. remarkably, Steve owns a relief plate used to print this liner.

Absolutely wonderful inside and out, Alan.A high quality velour made by Anton Peschel (Nový Jičín) for Oviatt's, likely later 1930s. The materials and construction are impeccable, the cotton (or linen) liner might represent a shortage of silk ahead of WWII. A notable survivor... remarkably, Steve owns a relief plate used to print this liner.

My wife tells me that very same thing when she goes to our daughter's house!4 weeks in the boot was what I was ordered, as well. Then another 5 in hard-soled shoes before I was to be considered fully healed. Like you, the pain was at its worst in the evening, which is inconvenient if you like to sleep well.
I have to laugh (or at least chuckle ruefully) over the cell phone instruction. My wife is out of state for several weeks (birth of the first grandchild) and I had to SWEAR to her that I would not go up or down any staircase inside, or outside, the house, without my cell phone on me.
As my mother said, quite often, in the last decade of her life, "The joys of aging are truly endless."
Thank you buddy! Besides two cats, I do have a dog to walk, and she loves to bolt after squirrels! So sorry to hear this, Terry! But at least you don’t have a dog you have to walk.Wishing you a speedy recovery!
