Mark, Thanks! It's one of my better ones but as I mentioned it's very difficult to photograph. Also thank you regarding the historical related documents and items.I think the best description of that hat, for me, is "dashing"! And thank you, as always for the fascinating bits of hat history you provide us.
Nice. The lack of a metric size tag places that pre 1966, apparently. This afternoons pipe session is underneath a little Akubra East Coast. Arguably my favorite green hat. One of my Australian Salvation Army ebay hats. Joined by a mid 1950's Peterson #106. Burning some Captain Black so this is a full Old Codger day.... old Codger in a used hat, with an old Irish Pipe, and a simple Codger blend cavendish tobacco.

Cool find, Timmy. I can help you with its origins. The brand was a subbrand of Nehoefa or Nederlandse Hoedenfabriek (Dutch Hat Manufacture). Staalmeester, Rembrandt, the Holborn Hat and Flevo were all brands they used. You can find some detailed informatation about them here:This morning I'm sporting one of the newest additions to my collection that I found on Etsy from an individual in the Netherlands. I've not had much luck finding out any information about the maker but the hat seems to be very well made. Ooooh, that's a lovely hat, Jim. Great style.
Stellar old Barbisio, Alan. That liner is on another level.Barbisio nutria bound upbrim, likely pre-WWII sold in Sofia, Bulgaria. This is a favorite hat in this style - very easy to wear with its modest proportions. One of two hats I own with the descriptor "radio."

John Lofgren Monkey Boots Shinki Horsebuttt - $1,136 The classic monkey boot silhouette in an incredibly rich Shinki russet horse leather.
Grant Stone Diesel Boot Dark Olive Chromexcel - $395 Goodyear welted, Horween Chromexcel, classic good looks.
Schott 568 Vandals Jacket - $1,250 The classic Perfecto motorcycle jacket, in a very special limited-edition Schott double rider style. I think the Stetson is my least favourite of that bunch, but I still like it a lot. As always, I struggle to choose a favourite.Sunday, so it's time for the hats of the week.

Thanks, Gary. The Stetson is up to some stiff competition.I think the Stetson is my least favourite of that bunch, but I still like it a lot. As always, I struggle to choose a favourite.
