Snake gaiters/hunting gaiters

Back in the fall, while clearing a John Deere XUV trail, I was bitten by a copperhead snake.... that said I am in the market for some gaiters.
Would anyone have a suggestion as to a pair.
I like the looks of these.

You might try these. I have 2 pair for riding. Heavy leather and large zippers. Mine are 15 years old, have a warm patina, and are just as good as new.

Wow, first I’ve heard of this Rusty. Hand or leg? Hope all is well by now. Even the anti venom can be nasty stuff. A friend ended up having to have lots of dead tissue trimmed away on his hand.

Jack... he got me on my left leg just under the back bend of the knee. On that leg I have pinched nerves in my back and on the entire back of my leg I have no feeling.
So for wo days I did not realize I was bit.
I went to the Dr and he gave me a couple shots and said I was fortunate.
I had a lot of swelling and bruising and still have muscle soreness but so far so good!!!
As a side note after I knew I had been bitten I knew when it happened. I thought i stepped on a limb and it popped up and hit my leg. at the time never gave it a second thought.....

I saw this thread before, but now that I've gotten turned-on to foraging for edible mushrooms in the Blue Ridge Mountains (Western North Carolina), I've started to share the rough land with copperheads and timber rattlesnakes. I've been looking for waterproof, breathable - like Gortex - snake boots. I found these in Brevard, but the $200+ price was aa little rich. Though they fit well and felt great. On the other hand, my mushroom guru has been wondering the woods barefoot for 14 years???
I hinted for my birthday, then father's day, but no takers.

Here in Europe we don’t have that much of a problem, but in forestry we use kevlar reinforced gaiters to prevent cuts. They are extremely safe, BUT at the end of the day most workers don’t wear them all day because of the heat and weight. I dont know if the US Army WW2 canvas gaiters are bite proof…. Or you can try to make some from heavy nylon.
