Miller of Denver, CO. "The Buckaroo", made by Stetson. I guesstimate it dates about 1935 to 1940 til I get it. Seems the sweatband is a replacement.

I just had my offer accepted for this Resistol The Dealer, not a rare vintage hat by any means but a little different style for me and nice to find a LO.

When it comes to hat colour, I tend to be rather conservative. It took a lot of persuasion by Tina before agreeing to a hat that compliments the blazer.

The blue blazer needs a blue hat, (so says Tina,) so I am off to Snooks later: https://snooksthehatters.co.uk/ Yesterday I had a text from them to say that they have a blue Denton in my size and would I like to come along and try it on.

"It's a bit loud," I said as Tina was viewing it on my phone. "You said that about the red one," she reminded me. Guess I had better get myself off to Snooks today.

You are not the first to liken me to George Melly Steve, what a talent that man was and despite a lifelong addiction to tobacco he still packed in a great deal in his eighty years. If you ever get the chance do read his autobiography, "Owning Up."

The new hat was all ready when I arrived at Snooks earlier, at the request of the ladies there I wore the blazer that the hat is meant to, hopefully, compliment. I have been photographed by all and sundry, so for you, here's my new hat and George Melly incarnation.
