These are Hats belonging to Regular Customers who have gone off to War. they are hung, with pride, on the Wall of a Pool Hall Bar in Manhattan, NYC, for "Good Luck" & will be re-claimed by those who return. Those Hats that are not re-claimed will be enshrined in a "Case of Honor".

A.O. Wetzel, proprietor of an Oak Park Illinois Drug Store, keeps hats nicely labeled, of all his customers who have entered the services, Army, Navy, Marines and even the WAVES............
On the far left helping Wetzel in the picture is Mrs. John L. Davidson Jr. Whose husband is overseas, and Rosemary Tye (center) who has three brothers in uniform.
