Thank you sir! We safely made it up to the frozen wasteland that is Anchorage.

The beer and wine have been flowing in Aotearoa. Favourite white - too tough to call. So many good Sauvignon Blancs…

and also Chardonnays.
Favourite red so far - a Martinborough Pinot Noir.

This Australian Shiraz was excellent, too.

My Christmas Eve afternoon dram is poured from this Blair Athol 18 yr old Speyside bottled by First Editions. Bottle #528 of only 563 I sip it sparingly on special occasions & holidays.

With the winter winds of late I could be found under either a BCD or this Lee.

For the evening I will be switching to this Cragganmore 12.

Yesterday, Christmas Eve saw us follow beer and wine with a little Glen Moray 15. The hat is a Stylemaster.

I've been off the forum for the past week, having a blast in Alaska but most of the time its been too cold to wear my Fed IV it's ranged from about -5 to -38 while we have been here. I tried a fair sampling of really good breweries while we were in Anchorage and Fairbanks, here is a couple pictures at Denali Brewing it was about -10 at the time. But my wife and I and my sister and brother-in-law enjoyed these flights.

Wearing a different type of hat but a really unique experience having martinis at the Chena Ice Museum drinking out of glasses made of ice.

For my Christmas Day afternoon dram, a new bottle of Glenmorangie Extremely Rare 18 Highlands Malt. And staying tone on tone is my Gannon 100X in chocolate.

My experience with HD equipment was literally 0 at the start of this summer. Now, I have time spent on almost every piece of equipment CAT makes, so I felt compelled to grab this one to add to my unneededly large glassware collection.

Christmas evening I enjoyed a dram. I pulled out a photo of Christmas's past. Remember printed photos?

Christmas eve we entertained guests in the well below zero weather. I did not wear a hat inside the house under instructions from my wife.

I did receive a new bottle in my Christmas stocking.
