I needed a pallet fork for a Fontain wrist watch with an AS340 movement in it. So I got these AS340 movement parts off of ebay. I think there might be a pallet fork in there somewhere.

Snagged a 1951 Bulova "Standish" model with the original Bulova expansion band. Keeping perfect time for a mechanical watch.

Received this 1954 Bulova "Ardsley" from an ebay purchase yesterday. Has the original expansion band on it. Came in a Bulova case, but I'm not sure it's the original. The watch had a broken mainspring and I put a new one in this morning. It's running fine now.

I vaguely remember the Accutron ads. Did you know Bulova was the very first company to ever advertise on television. It was a 10 second ad in 1941.

This 1947 Bulova "Cadet" came from ebay last week not running. Found it had a broke balance staff. I put a NOS balance assembly in it that was packaged and sealed for the US military in 1953. After no telling how many years, it's running again. According to my timer machine it's running 2 minutes a day slow, but that's the best I could get out of it without taking the entire movement apart and cleaning it.

Another watch from ebay received on the 14th. 1946 Bulova in rose gold. Not sure of the model name for this one. It was wound tight and not running. I think someone took the train bridge off and couldn't get it back on correctly. The escapement wheel was cocked under it and not in it's pivot jewels. Running now at +46 sec./24 hrs. Not too bad for a watch that's 76 years old.

Another ebay purchase that arrived today. It's a 1920's Elsmere 6 jewel wrist watch. Still runs but not sure how accurate it is. Haven't put it on the timer machine yet. This is the first 2 hinge case model watch in the collection.

I feel almost but not quite guilty for having purchased these pins for a total of five U.S. dollars — that’s five bucks for the entire lot of 20, not five bucks each. I’ve paid considerably more than that for a single button.

As you can see, some date as early as the First World War.

This arrived this morning from an ebay seller in Texas. A 1950 Bulova "Kirkwood" model. Don't think it's going to require any work. It looks good and is running good.

Got this 1946 Elgin Deluxe this morning from an ebay purchase. Seems to be running good and keeping time. It's got a Stonewall gold filled scissor band made in the USA. I like the recessed crown feature.

Got this 1949 Bulova "His Excellency LL" model from ebay yesterday. It was a non-runner without a crystal or band. I've done just enough to it to get it running and put a crystal and band on it. It's running a little fast right now, but at least it will run. Got to take it apart and clean and oil it and it should make a good time keeper.

Got another watch from ebay. This one is a 1931 Bulova "Sky King" model. Took 2 weeks to get it running. It had a bad mainspring and I couldn't find one in the US. Ended up getting 2 from Canada.

Another watch. This time it's a 1952 Bulova "Harrington" model with the original band.
