Yesterday I received this beautiful Ralph Lauren purple label B-2. It's the cream of the crop. Build quality is insane and the hide as absolutely beautiful. Man was I disappointed when I tried it on to find out I couldn't zip it up nor bend my arms. Luckily I was able to stretch it up one size and now it's a perfect fit. Fitpics will follow later.

I have always wanted to own a good Irvin or a B3 jacket but retrospectively, absolutely hated how either looked on me - Interestingly to a degree, same as anything else war-related.

RRL must've figured the same and came up with this perfection. Would've picked it over any repro ANY day of the year and twice on Sunday, myself.

What I already discussed with Mark, this particular shearling this jacket is made of is dead ringer for the Malenotti-era shearling that was by far the finest, most luxurious sheepskin I have ever witnessed and Made in Italy tag makes me convinced that it is indeed made by the same tannery.

There’s always a bit of fear when it comes to dimly lit pics and measurements which are clearly wildly inaccurate. I would not have been as aggressive if I had not already owned on of these in that size. Hopefully the guy ships it today, and I can have it by the weekend!

This is a “potential”. I keep asking myself if I can do knits. It’s a HH fidelity. I do like it and the price is right. Liner was replaced with heavy brown corduroy…that’s my jam.
