Still ridiculously hot here in London (it must be around 24 or 25 celsius today), so not jacket weather.... I have manage one or two wears of one of my cotton chorecoats recently on those blessed days when it rained and the mercury dropped. We're over the hump, now - September rushes ever closer, and with it the return of sensible weather....

This arrived today. Chuffed with the fit, although the jacket itself is in need of some TLC. Anyone have any suggestions regarding conditioners? You can sort of see from the collar that it's quite ridged. Is it possible to bring some supple-ness back into it?

Pecards or Skidmore. Lather it up, put into a black trash bag. Leave out in the sun for a couple days.

However, I have a question regarding black baldalassi leather. Do you know how this leaters ages? Haw it looks like patina and breaking over time ?
Hi - I'm afraid I can't help you there as I have not seen an aged version in black - it has only just been adopted by Aero and I just rolled the dice with it - it seems to be pretty rare to see it in black for jackets (tobacco or russet seem the dominant colours), but other FL members may have experience of it through another brand? It is a lovely hide though and I think it is currently the nicest Aero offer by far….and I have a Wayfarer in it soon to go into production - I will post updates as they age if that is of interest?

Every time is see this awesome vest I remember that I don’t have a straight zip leather vest. This one is perfect and versatile.

Thanks JMax! Weren’t you considering getting another one made by Vanson?

It’s definitely my most-worn “jacket” with the climate down here.

Looking forward to adding a Langlitz vest to cover the other end of the spectrum - black, snaps, no collar, etc. I bet it’s gonna get a ton of wear too

I was, but then decided to try to wear the current Vanson and two IH more. Which I have been. But…

And I do have a trucker vest by Schott/Legendary. Too many patches and stitch holes from removed patches to really wear anywhere but on a ride.

Yeah, the Langlitz will be a nice option. A good change up in style. I look forward to seeing it.
