What Jacket Are You Wearing Today?

I have now reached just over a month of wearing my Vanson Chopper every day. I never knew I would enjoy wearing a jacket this much. It helps that my grandfather had a motorcycle jacket with quilting back in the day so it really reminds me of him. My phone camera is broken right now but I'll try and post some pictures as soon as I get it fixed. It's definitely gotten a lot more comfortable and broken in a bit.

First outing for the 5 Star Old man Logan or Spongebob Strangepocket? To me it feels like something Benny Blanco from the Bronx in Carlitos Way might wear. I think this is my favorite 5* to date. As usual there are things that could be improved, always learning.

Thanks for the always kind words J.
Every day i look forward to seeing what Man Jacket you post.
I think you need that red and black Taubers in Deals to go with your vest!
Hope you transition is going well.
B

The Taubers is out of this world.

Just got my orders yesterday. One more month or so in South Florida. Then onward. Thanks.

Hohoho
Obenauf "dyed", zippertape finally showing its intended contrast
Happy with the color, i wont sun tan it no more, just normal wear from here on, i dont care if obenauf freezes the color this way i like it like this, and a good base for any patina if theres more.

Have totally enjoyed watching the evolution of this jacket the last couple years from concept pencil drawings through build and wear. Your vigilance and passion in leather is unparalleled. This is why the Leather Lounge is such a great place to hang out.
That jacket is you.
Thanks

What a contrast to where the journey started!
Thanks guys, it is a journey through a year that I thought would be the best year, the last year with great number 2020 I would be alive to witness, turned out to be a year that would be remembered in history for whole different reason, when i dreamed about this jacket i was thinking for more active outdoor life, more morning walk and more biking and bicycling like few years back when my grandma was still around and reaping sun tanned jacket as my reward, turned out i live as complete urban hermit with gated neighborhood not allowed to even walk outside my own street for a good chunk of 2020, couldnt visit anyone since my relatives are mostly in elderly and just last week getting their first vaccine . So i've been wearing this jacket indoor half the time and hang it outside the window another half of the time all by myself, so i ended up watching the leather sun tanning outside without me wearing it. So glad mr Obenauf come to the rescue, giving an ideal tan as closure, before my crosszip done and become a new favorite.

sleeve length, no issues. You got to worry about the back length here so you don't interfere with the tail.
I’ve just contacted Stu as he obviously sold him a trainee jacket
Wearing my new (to me) Sears Oakbrook D-pocket that I just picked up from the post office. I was worried the hem would be a bit too tight. It’s just right.

My cat said we are hypocrites. He said us middle-aged, leather jacket-wearing men don't like to be stereotyped yet perpetuate the myth of cats not taking proper care of their gear.
