What kind of shooting is in the video, then, Brent? A Western Duel?

Looked like it to me. Nothing that we ever train. The problem with live-fire fast draw is that without a lot of training rounds go off in the dirt and even into feet and legs of the shooter. Earlier this year I saw a sheriff’s deputy shoot himself in the calf. I can’t remember ever seeing someone so embarrassed.

For most people we emphasize smooth consistent *** handling. In one of my classes you’d here the phrase “smooth is fast” several hundred times. Another favorite is “you can’t miss fast enough to win a *** fight, get your hits.”

I haven’t done much instructing this year.

Well, no, with the pandemia. I have to admit you were right when you told me that shooting ***s is interesting. It is fun, too!
Have you watched "Justified", Brent? Rayland Givens, the.main character, was a *** instructor. I think in Quantico? Really interesting series, with sharp and clever dialog

I watched it for a while but I just stopped without any conscious decision to do so. Maybe I’ll give it another try.

Back from a dog soirée. I shed my jacket picked up fallen limbs, pushed a shovel on a couple walkways and filled the bird feeders. I have been wearing a Mallory Ten all morning.

The double sided tape holding the liner against the crown does not do the trick in the cold winter. I will need to source another solution for my weather challenges.

Just stellar, Eric. I have always been a big fan of the glow that the tone on tone silver belly/sand yields, and the vintage Mallory looks like it has a great hand.

Switched my bike over to studded snow tires this morning while my head was warmed by this Peterson of Stockholm fur cap

Went out for an 80 minute ride, with ample extra time for bench sitting and watching the geese and eagles fly over. Then a little work around the yard in this Open Road

The weather decided to take up sleeting, so I'm retiring to the house for the rest of the day
