Looking good, can't wait to see more of this

I’m going to resist the temptation to post a gazillion bad bathroom mirror pics and wait till I can come up with some decent outdoor fit pics. Overall impression is very good: quality and finish is phenomenal and the sleeve and body length are perfect. The body seems a bit boxier and fuller than I’d expected, but that may settle more as it breaks in.

^^ very cool that everything worked out well! looks like they made and delivered the jacket ahead of time too, good job SB team.

Under four weeks from payment to delivery!

the fit seemed a little off at first and i was freaking out a little, but after I cinched-up the side adjusters it is now perfect.

beautiful. Is it the SB bootlegger?

it’s a modified version of their classic biker model that isn’t listed. It’s the same as they made for Standard and Strange, that they call the Crosszip or the Debs Special.

Gotcha. The one with double buckles on each side? Seen some great fits with that one!

I'm considering dipping my toes into the world of motorcycle jackets and I stumbled upon this Berman's on the cheap. Anybody know the brand and if it might be a good first jacket of this type? View attachment 276978 View attachment 276979

Think Brooks cross zip. Light-ish, but very nice jackets. Not very pricey, though so I hope this one really is cheap. Back seems to be cracking and the belt has been cut off. In any case, okay jackets. Made in Korea.

Thanks for the feedback, Monitor. Leather seems to have a bit of character. The removed belt is a plus for me since I think they would look a bit too serious on me with it attached. The interior looks nice (Solid black quilted) It's advertised for 50 bucks here in Norway. Sounds about right?

Berman's are made out of thin leather. Like, not lambskin thin but they've used really thin cowhide. It's a sturdy leather, not in any way inferior to Brooks but... Cracking on the back is something I'd worry about. Looks to me like it has cracked all the way through or it's at least getting close. And if that is the case, no deal is good enough. To me personally, at least.

Looks great otherwise and it's got some brilliant character all over, that much is true.

Yeah, I'm not thinking long term on this, more to see if the style is for me as I guess this atleast is a "semi-vintage" piece and if I like the look and fit I will probably upgrade to a vintage Herc or Grais or something like that.
