Great looking jacket! That Racer made an impact back in the days, I remember how huge it was when Schott released a repro, and it was great looking one. Restoration dude was ahead of the time.![]()

Dont disagree. I know what I like now and what works for me. First getting into this "hobby" it was overwhelming though. Just finding so many different brands, styles and options. I freely admit that overwhlemed. Doing this now for a while I figured out what I like and how to do it.Depends whether you let this overwhelm you or not. Personally I know what I like, so I am not distracted by many options which I can easily ignore. Back in the 1940's leather jackets were not custom as a rule and often just hanging up in department stores like today's softshells. My dad who is 97 bought one or two this way and told me the only thought you put into a leather jacket was 'long or short and does it fit?' I personally think people's boredom with jackets as you describe it is probably more about control and consumerism than it is about the jackets.
When those start to brown up they will be incredibly cool! Now if you put a denim jacket on top....While I doubt it this will generate much interest, these are so awesome I just gotta share.
For once, instead of getting another leather jacket I'll look to replace a week later, figured I'd try something new. How much will I wear them, I don't know but I always wanted these Aero's 60's trousers so... Why not.
Although I rarely wear them, I had a bunch of leather trousers before, still got two pairs that I considered heavyweight but they're literally a joke compared to these.
These are the heaviest, sturdiest leather pants I've seen and I know you're thinking you know what to expect if you've ever bought an Aero, but it still comes as a shock.
Anyway, the trousers are styled as a standard British 60's to 70's motorcycle trousers. This particular pair fits me well. Not baggy at all as the product description would suggest. They're just right.
Can't get over how well they're made. Fancy construction all around. Built and overbuilt like a tank. Honestly, I don't think ANYONE makes mc jeans that are nearly as sturdy and right now I want... No, I need the Jeans as well.

Well back to repros I guess. Although this isn’t a repro of anything. Seller offered a deal too good to pass. Seller also has the worst feedback score I’ve ever seen. Should be interesting.

I wonder who took the deal, 18.25 shoulder is too narrow for me.Well back to repros I guess. Although this isn’t a repro of anything. Seller offered a deal too good to pass. Seller also has the worst feedback score I’ve ever seen. Should be interesting.

Yeah I’ve had a 44” from SB I have a hard time believing that measurement. Although the pic does look pretty legit.I wonder who took the deal, 18.25 shoulder is too narrow for me.

That order is something special with the three horsehide SGs I have. I think it's intoxicating something I mean to bring up in the Cal Leather treadThat very concern crossed my mind when looking at the cross-zip. Plus, the seller mentioned an odor. But it seems that wasn’t exactly the case. Too bad for me, great for you.

My Ventura has a nice cuff strap that I find pleasing both aesthetically and functionally.I have been thinking about a strap too. I had a jacket with a cuff strap but every time i put the jacket on the strap moves to the cuff opening and I had to put in back in place. However, that was a cow leather jacket : View attachment 252132
Does anybody have experience with cuff straps in horsehide? (More sturdy leather?)
Nice leather, too!My Ventura has a nice cuff strap that I find pleasing both aesthetically and functionally.
